Well, I’ve been there since 2009 with such an old idea and I must tell you, it had not been easy since then, I almost quit if not for the affirmation of ‘STAY BLOGGING AND NEVER LEAVE’. Then imagine if you lack such an affirmation, you could easily quit dear.
So now, what does it take to stay blogging and never leave? Simply put, START SCALING AND STOP WRITING FOR PASSION. (SCALE= Pattern, make, regulate, set, measure, or estimate according to some rate or standard.)
Start seeing your Blog as a business from day one and through that, you can make money within months not even years of exhaustion.
Let’s examine what it takes to start and stay blogging in the 2020s.
How to start and stay blogging in the 2020s:
a) Scale out a Niche that is business-oriented not passion alone.
b) Buy a domain name and hosting space from any domain and hosting company (I suggest Namecheap).
c) Connect your Domain with your server (enable Nameserver from basic to web).
d) Install WordPress and design your website.
e) Write your content and publish it as blog posts.
e) Letting people know about your content(marketing.) And finally,
f) The type of product you are. (monetization).
Having listed these determinants, let’s do the technical analysis of them for easy understanding and application.
a) Scale out a Niche that is business-oriented not passion alone.
You will agree with me that, this word called NICHE is what we meet every day in one way or the other while surfing the net. And there have been so many definitions patterning this particular word NICHE.
But today, our definition will be out on experience and years of experimentation.
NICHE is the same thing as TOPIC, an area of specialization. But, carefulness should be observed when choosing a NICHE because NICHE can be in many forms just as;
— Broad Niche
— Sub-Niche
— Sub-sub-Niche
— Broad Niche:– An example of broad niche are normally found in the area of Self-improvement blogging.
BLOGTOSTAY TIPS: You can’t just say that your niche is “Self-improvement” because, under self-improvement you can narrow down to many sub-niches like; Motivations, productivity, management and so on.
— Sub-Niche:– An example of sub-niche is “productivity” as it is under “Self-improvement” which is a broad niche. Now, you were able to narrow down and target a particular audience which you will be responsible for solving their problems in that niche.
— Sub-sub-Niche:– You can further narrow down to target more defined audience under the sub-niche “Productivity” such as; “How to do more work every day”
Remember, It is no more passionate blogging, it’s all about SCALING AND TREATING YOUR BLOG AS A BUSINESS FROM DAY ONE. I can assure you that, with scaling as a plan, you can make money with your blog in months instead of years.
The issue of passionate blogging is an old idea and that is the reason why 95% of bloggers do quit before their twelfth months of blogging. They become less-passionate from even their passion because they kept on blogging without seeing a way to monetize their efforts.

Click the SEARCH button to see if the name is available. According to the below image, the name is available with other extensions if you want to buy them too.
Then go ahead and add the name to your ADD TO CART. Then click the CHECKOUT button to proceed to the payment section, image description below.
Click the confirm order button according to the image above to proceed.
You will be taken to where you will be required to add your payment details and hit Pay Now button to purchase your domain. I don’t want to buy the domain, it is just an illustration of how to do that. Image description below.

Go ahead to select the hosting plan of your choice. We are selecting Stellar as beginners.
On the option of CONNECT TO: click “existing domain name”, then scroll down to select the required domain name. After that hit the ‘connect to hosting’ button. After it might have connected you to your hosting hit the ADD TO CART button to proceed and purchase the hosting. Image description below.
c) Connect your Domain with your server (enable Nameserver from basic to web).

The very first thing you have to see here is your primary doamin name with SSL key certification (DV Certificate).
If you do not have a DV Certificate writen or no lock pad on your dashboard, it means your domain is not secured because, it lack SSL certification.
If you don’t have the above stipulated certification, you have to do it manually. And to do it manually, click on the search field above and type in “let’s encrypt SSL” click on it as indicated on the image below.
Scroll down from the next page that will display and select your domain name. Image descritption below.
After that click on ISSUE on the right hand side along the same settings as indicated by the image above.
And you can finally click on ISSUE button as indicated below. And the SSL will automatically be enabled for you. Image descritption below.
That’s it on enabling your own SSL manually.
Now let’s go ahead and install WordPress on your domain.
INSTALLING WORDPRESS ON YOUR DOMAIN
On your Cpanel dashboard, click on the search bar and search for “Softaculous Apps Installer” Image descritption below.
On the next page, select the WordPress installation plugin as indicated by the image below.
On the next page that appears click on the INSTALL button. Make sure you selected the latest version of WordPress. On “chose protocol” make sure you have (https://) selected and ‘s’ is for secured.
Next near to the (https://) chose your particular domain name. And at the extreme right-hand side you will see ‘in directory’ box, make sure you delete the “wp” within the box and leave it empty.
On the Site settings:
— Site Name
— Site Description
You can change these things to whatever you like or if the name present resonates, you can leave it like that.
On Admin Account:
Very important that you do some settings here. Your default Admin User Name will be ‘admin’, and your default admin password will be ‘pass’.
Change them to your own terms because hackers already know these are the default terms that normally appear here.
Make sure to delete the email and type in your own personal email. Once you finish these things go ahead at the bottom and click the INSTALL button. Image description below.
After installation you will get two links within the page. The first link is the link to your website while the second link is the link to your WordPress dashboard. Image description below.
Your new website will be looking something like this on the image below.
This is an ugly pre-built theme from WordPress. To get the feel of what you want your website to look like, you will go ahead and install themes and plugins for proper functionality within your website. There are tutorials on YouTube that will help you do that.
Then, your WordPress Dashboard will look something like the image descritption below. This is the most important page within your website.
This is all about installing WordPress as CMS (content management system) within your Cpanel.
e) Write your content and publish it as blog posts.
Many bloggers had come up with their own arguement that CONTENT is not normally the king. But i beg you should understand with me that, you can’t rent a shopping plaza without any products and be coming out everyday to display brands and advertise the empty space. Such is a mark of insanity if i may say.
So, CONTENT is actually the king. And not any Content but content of original quality and KEYWORD inclined.
BLOGTOSTAY TIPS: I ranked on Google search within two months of launching one of my blogs due to original and quality content with targeted keywords.
To create your content, i suggest you should read and research not only on your area of specialization but also in broader perspective because, it helps a lot.

This software could help you generate keyword targeted contents and even help you to write the content.
BLOGTOSTAY TIPS: Do not forget not to post AI written content exactly as it is because, Google will detect it as totally AI content and will not rank you on their algorithm. So, re-write and paraphrase the content before posting.
